Become a supporter
Through The Guild we have been able to make wonderful memories with so many diverse people. Every week we make sure that there are enough snacks and drinks for that activity, as well as craft materials. We do not get financial support for these purchases, and so seek your help to make sure we can continue to do this.
Buying snacks & drinks for one event can cost up to twenty euros, and with enough money we might be able to do more expensive activities more often. We therefor ask you or your friends or family for a donation, anything can be a huge help. All proceeds will go directly to the club and will only be spend on activities.
Our donate link asks you to contribute to a private account. Why? See below.
Our story
The Guild is not a product of one person, or even five board members, no: The Guild is a product of us all. Through our amazing Guildmembers, who bring snacks, drinks, but most importantly of all an amazing kindness, we have been able to have wonderful evenings together (as can bee seen on our Instagram).
Through these weekly events we, the Guildmembers, have been able to bring so much happiness to so many other Guildmembers. Among ourself we feel like a strong and supportive community, and when asked about experiences and feelings regarding The Guild, we get replies like:
The Guild is like my family
We focus on diversity and inclusiveness. Except for our minimum age of 17, everyone is welcome in our club, and we find it important that no one feels excluded, regardless of the “baggage” that they carry. This focus on kindness has led to members feeling truly at home during our events:
Here I truly feel accepted
Why a private account?
We need to use a private account to collect the contributions for The Guild. Using a private bank account, we are able to finance our events before we have an official bank account, something that we are still setting up.
Because we are in the middle of setting up The Guild as an official organization, we can not, at this time, make a bank account legally owned by The Guild. That is why the current “The Guild” bank account is owned by Rick, one of the board members. This account is used solely for The Guild, and is not used as a personal account. Once we are officially an organization, we will switch to a bank account legally owned by The Guild instead. We monitor all the finances together, and so ensure that all donations will only be used for The Guild.
Should any questions come up about how this works, you can contact us via whatsapp or via our mail: theguildnijmegen@gmail.com
Please know that donating is voluntary! You’re welcome to just bring snacks and drinks to the activities, or don’t bring anything! You only have to bring your enthusiastic self to our events.
